Meet Huong Huynh, Director of Regulatory Science at Critical Path Institute (C-Path) and Professor of
Practice at The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, to discuss the nuances surrounding public-private partnerships in drug development and regulatory decision-making.
Speakers
Huong Huynh, PhD
currently leads the development of regulatory strategies for the organization, acting as a liaison with regulatory authorities. She has successfully secured multiple FDA grants to fund public-private partnerships aimed at addressing rare neurodegenerative diseases and researching unmet medical needs in alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and lysosomal diseases. Before joining C-Path, Huong worked as a review pharmacologist at the FDA, where she assessed the approvability of over 300 regulatory submissions, contributing to the approval of more than 50 generic drug products.
Huong is an active volunteer with the Drug Information Association (DIA), Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS), San Diego Regulatory Affairs Network (SDRAN), and Orange County Regulatory Affairs Discussion Group (OCRA-DG). She has also served on the boards and committees of the FDA Alumni Association (FDAAA), FDA Women of CDER, Association of Women in Science (AWIS) – San Diego Chapter, and the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA).
